A van, a couple of good mowers and twenty-odd years of early starts.

It started with one mower and a lot of early mornings.

We started cutting grass round Horley in 2004. The idea was simple: turn up when you say you will, do a proper job, take the rubbish away, and come back next time. Twenty-odd years later, that’s still exactly what we do.

We look after all sorts, from small front lawns on terraced streets to big family gardens, and a growing number of communal and commercial grounds. Most of our customers have been with us for years, and we’ve grown by word of mouth rather than advertising. People recommend us because we’re reliable and we don’t mess about.

How we work.

Do what we say

If we say Tuesday, it’s Tuesday. If the weather stops us, we ring and tell you when we’ll be back.

Finish the job

Cut, edged, swept and cleared. A lawn isn’t done until the clippings are gone and the path is clean.

Be straight with people

We’ll tell you what needs doing and what doesn’t. No upselling, no jargon, and if it’s not our kind of work we’ll say so.

Look after it for years

We’d rather look after your garden for ten years than do it once. That’s better for the garden and better for us.

Proper kit, looked after.

The stripes come from the mower, not luck. We cut with Hayter rear-roller mowers, which lay the grass down in alternating directions to give that proper striped finish, and we keep the blades sharp so the grass is cut cleanly rather than torn.

Hedge trimmers, long-reach cutters, strimmers and edgers come with us on every visit, so there’s never a job left for next time because we didn’t have the right tool.
