Care homes, hotels and pubs

Care home, hotel and pub garden maintenance

Gardens people actually sit out in, for care homes, hotels and pubs around Horley, Gatwick and Crawley.

For a care home, the garden is part of people’s day. Residents look out on it, families walk round it on visits, and a well-kept garden says a lot about the care inside. For a hotel or pub, the garden is part of what guests pay for.

We keep lawns cut, beds weeded, paths clear and hedges tidy, and we work calmly and quietly around residents and guests.

What we look after

  • Lawns and garden areas
  • Paths kept clear and safe underfoot
  • Raised beds, borders and planters
  • Hedges around terraces and boundaries
  • Beer gardens ready before opening
  • Leaf clearance from paths and terraces
  • Paths and entrances gritted and cleared of snow

Working around residents

In a care home we work around the residents, not through them. We’ll fit visits around mealtimes and activities, keep noisy machinery away from windows at quiet times, and always leave paths clear and safe, with no cuttings or trip hazards left behind.

Residents often like to watch, chat or tell us how they used to do their own lawn. We always make time for that.

Ready when your guests are

For hotels and pubs we time visits so the garden looks its best before the busy days: lawns cut and edged ahead of the weekend, beer gardens tidy before opening, and hedges cut back before the summer season starts.

How a contract works.

The same simple process for every site.

  1. Walk-round

We meet you on site, walk the grounds, and note what matters: the frontage people see first, the awkward bits, access times and anything residents or staff have complained about.

  2. Schedule and price

You get a written schedule for the year listing every task and how often it happens, with one fixed price. Itemised, so it’s easy to compare quotes or take to a board.

  3. Regular visits

We start on an agreed date and visit on the agreed days. The same team is on site every time, so the people doing the work are the people you spoke to.

  4. Review

Once a year we walk the site with you again, look at what worked and what didn’t, and adjust the schedule for the next season.

Questions people ask

Anything else, just ring. You’ll speak to the people who do the work.

Can you visit on a particular day of the week?

Yes. We’ll agree a regular day that suits you, for example Thursday so the garden looks right for the weekend.

Do you keep paths safe for residents with walking aids?

Yes. We keep paths clear of overhanging growth, cuttings and leaves, and we’ll flag anything like a lifted slab or uneven edge to your maintenance team.

Do you do seasonal planting?

We keep existing beds and planters weeded and tidy, and we can plant up seasonal displays if you’d like. We’ll quote separately for plants.

We’ll come out, look at the grounds with you and send a written schedule and a fixed price for the year.
