Garden clearance in Epsom
Overgrown Epsom gardens cut back to a clean, usable space, with everything taken away.
Garden clearance in Epsom often starts with a house changing hands. A probate sale, a tenancy ending, or a garden that just slipped for a couple of busy years. We cut it back, dig out the bramble and ivy, and take every bit of it away so you can see what you’ve actually got.
Epsom is towards the edge of our area, so we usually book a clearance as a full day, or two if it’s big, rather than an hour here and there. That suits the work anyway. One proper go is far less disruptive than four half-visits.
What we do
- Full overgrown garden clearance
- One-off blitzes to reset a garden that’s got away from you
- End-of-tenancy, house sale and probate clear-ups
- Bramble, ivy and weed removal
- Old shrub, growth and border clearing
- Everything cleared and taken away, garden left swept

When to book a garden tidy up service
Autumn and winter are the best time for a big clearance. Dense scrub and overgrown hedges are exactly where birds nest, and between March and August we have to check everything before cutting, which can hold a job up. Winter has another advantage on the clay side of town: once the growth is down you can see the ground. Just don’t plan to dig or lay turf straight away if it’s waterlogged. Clay walked on when wet sets hard and stays compacted for a long time.
Old walls and paths hiding under the ivy
In the older parts of town, a clearance often uncovers things. The Church Street and Chalk Lane conservation areas are known for historic brick walls, some of them listed, and ivy left for years can be holding loose mortar together. We take it off carefully rather than ripping it, and we’ll point out any damage we find. Repairs aren’t something we do, and for a listed wall you’d want the council’s advice before anyone touches the brickwork.
Garden Clearance in Epsom: your questions
Anything else, just ring. You’ll speak to the people who do the work.
How much does a garden clearance cost?
It comes down to the size of the garden, how overgrown it is, access for loading, and how much waste there’ll be. We’ll see it first and give you a fixed price, so there are no surprises on the day.
Can you clear a garden in a conservation area?
Yes, clearing overgrowth is normally fine. Trees are a different matter, as work on them in a conservation area usually needs six weeks’ notice to the council, and tree work isn’t something we take on.
Can you have it ready before a sale or a new tenancy?
Usually, with a bit of notice. Tell us the date when you ring and we’ll book it in with time to spare.
