Pub garden maintenance in Outwood
Beer gardens, terraces and pondside lawns kept ready for weekend walkers and Sunday lunch.
Hospitality in Outwood means pubs. Look up pubs in Outwood, Surrey, and you’ll find The Bell on Outwood Lane, which dates from 1635 and was once a coaching stop on the London to Brighton route, and the Dog & Duck on Prince of Wales Road, with its own duck pond and a paddock for children. Pub garden maintenance in Outwood is about having outside spaces like those ready for people coming out to walk the common.
A beer garden is part of what customers come for, especially on a sunny weekend. We cut and edge the lawns before the busy days, keep borders and planters tidy, trim hedges round terraces and boundaries, and clear leaves from paths before they turn slippery.
What we look after
- Lawns and garden areas
- Paths kept clear and safe underfoot
- Raised beds, borders and planters
- Hedges around terraces and boundaries
- Beer gardens ready before opening
- Leaf clearance from paths and terraces
- Paths and entrances gritted and cleared of snow

Pub garden maintenance timed around opening hours
Nobody wants a strimmer going while they eat. We plan visits for the morning before opening, usually midweek, so lawns are cut and edged ahead of Friday and the terrace is swept before the first table’s taken. Boundary hedges get trimmed before the summer crowds, after we’ve checked them for nests. Clay lawns that take heavy foot traffic all summer are cut a little higher through the busy months, so they hold up until the season ends.
Hotels and care homes nearby
Outwood’s hospitality is its pubs. For hotel garden maintenance, the airport hotels round Gatwick and Horley are a short drive south-west, and care homes are spread through the nearby towns. We look after both with the same care. In a care home that means visits fitted round mealtimes and activities, quieter machinery near windows at rest times, and paths left clear with no cuttings or trip hazards. For hotels, it’s grounds looking their best before guests check in at the weekend.
Care homes and hospitality in Outwood: your questions
Anything else, just ring. You’ll speak to the people who do the work.
Can you get the beer garden ready before a bank holiday?
Yes. We’ll book a visit in the days before, so the lawn is cut and edged, the hedges are tidy and the paths are swept when the crowds arrive.
Do you work on Saturdays?
We work Monday to Saturday, 7am to 6pm. For a pub we’d normally avoid trading hours on a Saturday and do the work earlier in the week instead.
Can you look after planters and raised beds on the terrace?
Yes. We’ll weed them, refresh them with seasonal bedding and bulbs, and keep them looking full through the season so the terrace doesn’t look neglected.
