Garden clearance in Salfords
Overgrown Salfords gardens cleared, cut back and left swept, with all the green waste gone.
Most of the garden clearance in Salfords we’re asked about follows the same story. Someone was busy, unwell or moving, the garden got two summers off, and now the brambles are over the shed. Weald Clay is fertile ground, and left alone it fills up quickly.
We cut back brambles and ivy, take out dead or unwanted shrubs, clear the beds and edges and sweep up. Everything green goes with us, so there’s no skip to hire and nothing piled up waiting for collection. It’s the kind of job that’s hard to face on your own, and far quicker with a team and a van. Smaller garden tidy up services, a day’s cut-back rather than a full clearance, are just as welcome.
What we do
- Full overgrown garden clearance
- One-off blitzes to reset a garden that’s got away from you
- End-of-tenancy, house sale and probate clear-ups
- Bramble, ivy and weed removal
- Old shrub, growth and border clearing
- Everything cleared and taken away, garden left swept

Garden clearance on wet, heavy ground
Clay changes how a clearance is done. In winter, wheelbarrows and boots turn a bare garden to mud, and the ground near the stream can stay soft for weeks after rain. So we plan around it. Where we can, big clearances go in drier spells. When they can’t wait, we lay boards for the barrow runs and bag as we go, so the lawn isn’t churned up on the way out. It adds a bit of time, and we’ll allow for that in the quote rather than surprise you on the day.
After the clearance
Once the growth has gone, you’re usually left with bare, compacted clay. Left uncovered, it bakes hard in summer and goes to slop in winter, and weed seeds land straight on it. We’d suggest getting something down quickly: seed or turf where the lawn’s going, a thick mulch on the beds. Then a regular visit, even a monthly one, stops it drifting back. That’s a lot cheaper than paying for another clearance in three years.
Garden Clearance in Salfords: your questions
Anything else, just ring. You’ll speak to the people who do the work.
What does a garden tidy up cost?
It depends on the size of the garden, how dense the growth is and how easy it is to get waste out. We’ll look first and give you one fixed price with removal included.
Can you clear a garden before a house sale?
Yes. Sales, probate properties and empty rentals are common jobs. Tell us your deadline when you ring and we’ll work to it.
Will you take old fencing or rubble?
No. We take what grew in the garden: brambles, branches, shrubs, weeds and leaves. Rubble, soil and household rubbish need different disposal.
Do you check for nesting birds before clearing?
Always. Overgrown gardens are full of nesting spots in spring and summer. If we find an active nest, we leave that part until the birds have gone.
