Garden maintenance in Caterham
Fortnightly or monthly visits that keep a Caterham garden tidy without you lifting a finger.
Regular garden maintenance in Caterham is most of what we do in town. We come round on a set schedule, cut and edge the lawn, weed the beds, keep hedges in shape and take all the waste away. You don’t book each visit. You just come home and it’s done.
We’re based in Horley, about eight miles south, and we’ve been at this since 2004. If you’re comparing gardening services in Caterham, the thing we’d point to is that the same team does every visit. They get to know your garden: which corner stays wet, which shrub sulks, where the gate sticks.
What we do
- Mowing, edging and strimming every visit
- Border weeding and bed tidying
- Hedge and shrub work on a seasonal schedule
- Leaf clearance through autumn and winter
- General tidying and path sweeping
- All green waste taken away, every time

What garden maintenance in Caterham covers each visit
Through the growing season that’s usually mowing, edging, strimming and a weed through the beds. Spring adds cutting back and mulching, and mulch matters more here than in a lot of places. Chalky soil burns through organic matter fast, so a border that isn’t fed every year gets thin and dry by midsummer. In autumn the round turns to leaves, and in the wooded parts of town there are a great many of them. Winter is for hedges, roses and the structural jobs.
Gardens on the Hill and gardens in the Valley
The 2011 census shows the difference. Caterham on the Hill had far more semis and terraces, about 2,600 between them. Caterham Valley had fewer houses, more flats and a higher share of detached homes. So on the Hill we tend to look after compact family gardens with a lawn front and back. In the Valley, particularly round Harestone, gardens are more often bigger, steeper and full of mature planting that needs a steady hand rather than a quick tidy.
Garden Maintenance in Caterham: your questions
Anything else, just ring. You’ll speak to the people who do the work.
Are you gardeners in Caterham, Surrey, or do you travel in?
We travel in from Horley, about eight miles. Caterham visits are planned into a regular round, so the drive doesn’t eat into the time we spend in your garden.
Do I need to be in when you come?
No. We work Monday to Saturday, 7am to 6pm, and most people are out for at least some of that. As long as we can get through a side gate, we’ll get on with it.
What do garden services in Caterham cost?
It depends on the size of the garden, how often you want us and what each visit covers. We’ll walk round with you and give you a fixed price, so there are no surprises.
