Garden clearance in Horne
Overgrown Horne gardens cleared back to something you can work with, waste and all.
A rural garden doesn’t stay put if you leave it. Give a Horne plot two summers and the field edge moves in: brambles, nettles, ivy over the shed, saplings in the borders. Garden clearance in Horne is about pushing all of that back, taking it away, and leaving you with a garden you can see again.
People call us after inheriting a house, before selling one, or after a couple of busy years. We don’t judge. We just clear it. Some gardens need one long day. Others take a few visits, especially where brambles have rooted across a whole bank. Either way we agree the scope first, so you know what’s coming out and what’s staying.
What we do
- Full overgrown garden clearance
- One-off blitzes to reset a garden that’s got away from you
- End-of-tenancy, house sale and probate clear-ups
- Bramble, ivy and weed removal
- Old shrub, growth and border clearing
- Everything cleared and taken away, garden left swept

Brambles, nettles and the far end of the plot
The far end of a big Horne garden is usually where things went wrong first. Brambles arch out from the hedge base and root wherever they touch the ground. Nettles move into the rich, damp soil. Before long you can’t reach the back fence. Saplings that have seeded into the borders come out while they’re still small enough to pull, and old fences buried under ivy get uncovered so you can see what state they’re in.
We cut it all down, dig out bramble crowns rather than just topping them, and pull ivy off fences and outbuildings. Dense scrub can hide nests in spring and summer, so we check before we start. If there’s an active nest, that section waits.
Garden clearance cost, and what pushes it up
Two things decide the price: how much there is and how easy it is to get out. A long garden down a narrow lane, with no side access, takes more trips than one with a gate onto the drive. Big volumes of green waste add up too, and on a Horne clearance there’s often plenty of it. Awkward ground, like brambles on a steep bank, adds time as well.
We’ll look first and give you one fixed price that includes taking everything away. No surprises at the end.
Garden Clearance in Horne: your questions
Anything else, just ring. You’ll speak to the people who do the work.
What’s the difference between a garden tidy up and a clearance?
A tidy-up is a big catch-up visit in a garden that’s just got ahead of you. A clearance is for one that’s properly overgrown. We’ll tell you which you need when we see it.
Can you clear a garden before we sell?
Yes. A cleared, mown and edged garden photographs far better. We can usually fit it in ahead of the photos if you give us some notice.
Will you dig out tree stumps?
No. Stump grinding and tree removal aren’t things we do. We clear brambles, weeds, scrub and old shrubs, and take it all away.
Do you take all the waste?
All of it. Everything we cut leaves with us, and the garden is left swept.
