Green Waste Removal in Earlswood

Green waste removal in Earlswood

Piles of cuttings, leaves and prunings collected from Earlswood gardens and disposed of properly.

Green waste removal in Earlswood is for when you’ve done the work yourself and now there’s a heap. A weekend on the hedge, a border dug over, or a lawn buried under oak leaves. We’ll come and take the lot: grass, hedge cuttings, prunings, leaves and small branches, gone in one visit.

The Earlswood recycling centre on Horley Road is handy when you’ve got a car and a few bags. It’s less handy when you’ve got twenty bags and a hatchback. That’s where a local garden waste removal service earns its keep.

What we do

  • Grass clippings, hedge trimmings, leaves and prunings

Why Earlswood gardens need so much green waste removal

Clay soil is rich, and things grow hard on it. Privet, laurel and leylandii can put on a lot in a year, and one cut of a long boundary hedge can fill a van. Then there are the oaks. The council’s plan describes English oak as the dominant tree in the common’s woodland, and in autumn those leaves end up in a lot of Earlswood gardens. Wet oak leaves are heavy, slow to rot and smother a lawn if they’re left. We collect them along with everything else.

Where your garden waste goes

We take it to licensed facilities for disposal. Earlswood’s recycling centre is run by Surrey County Council for household waste, and the council’s own page says it doesn’t accept business waste, so it isn’t somewhere we can take our customers’ cuttings. If you have a regular maintenance visit with us, green waste removal is already included and you won’t need to book it separately. One-off collections are fine too, after a big clear-out or a long weekend of DIY hedge cutting.

Waste Removal in Earlswood: your questions

Anything else, just ring. You’ll speak to the people who do the work.

What can you take?

Grass clippings, hedge cuttings, leaves, prunings, weeds and small branches. If you’re unsure about something, tell us when you ring.

Does it need to be bagged?

No. Loose piles are fine as long as we can get to them. Bags do help if the heap is at the back of a terraced garden and has to come through the house.

Can you collect leaves every autumn?

Yes. Gardens near the common often have several rounds of leaves. We can come once mid-autumn and again when the last ones have fallen.

How much does garden waste removal cost?

It depends on the volume, how far we have to carry it and how easy the access is. Tell us roughly what you’ve got, or send a photo, and we’ll give you a price.
